A delegation from Liverpool ‘sought talks’ with Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch’s management in the past few days ahead of a possible move in the summer.
That’s according to SportBILD, who say talks have also been held with the player’s agent in the Netherlands.
Gravenberch has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool over the past few weeks, with Jurgen Klopp keen to reinvent his midfield at the end of the season.
They had been targeting Jude Bellingham for the best part of a year but his increasing price tag, and the competition for his signature, has led them to abandon that idea and look at alternative targets.
SportBILD pick up on that and say, according to their information, a ‘delegation’ from Liverpool ‘sought talks’ with Gravenberch’s management in the past few days. Talks were also held in the Netherlands ahead of a possible move.
Not contact has yet been made with Bayern Munich about a transfer as yet, and the German giants don’t actually want to sell him as he is still highly regarded by the club’s management despite a difficult first year in Bavaria.
His future is very much dependent on if he can establish himself as a key player under Thomas Tuchel, though, which at the moment has not happened and could lead him to seek a move elsewhere this summer.
