According to a claim in the Turkish media, Liverpool will send a scout to watch Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir in action on Sunday, when his side face Galatasaray in Istanbul.
The Premier League champions have been linked with a move for the Turkish goalkeeper, and Asist Analiz report that they will get a further lowdown on him.
It’s reported Liverpool could open negotiations with Trabzonspor after the game, as they want to be in the driving seat in their pursuit of the player.
Cakir has been linked with other Premier League clubs like Leicester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, whilst Spanish club Sevilla have also shown interest.
He has been in fantastic form for Trabzonspor in this campaign and the Turkish club are looking to win their first-ever league title in almost 40 years.
The 24 year old has made 37 appearances for Trabzonspor in all competitions this season, keeping four clean sheets. His contract with the Super Lig club will expire at the end of June 2024, but Trabzonspor do have the option to extend it for a further year.
