Fotospor report Liverpool travelled to Istanbul at the weekend to watch Trabzonspor attacker Abdulkadir Omur in action against Fenerbahce.

It’s reported Liverpool, Barcelona, Benfica, Espanyol and Villarreal all sent scouts to Turkey to get a lowdown on the 19 year old.

Omur has recently been in impressive form for Trabzonspor and provided yet another assist in his team’s 1-1 draw against Fener.

The attacking midfielder has already been linked with a move to Liverpool and he’s also received attention from fellow Premier League sides Newcastle United and Bournemouth.

Last December we covered reports from the Turkish media that Liverpool had made an enquiry about the youngster, but his club wasn’t prepared to let him leave in January due to their title ambitions. Manchester City were also said to be interested in the player.

Omur has played 25 games for the Super Lig side this season, scoring three goals and making seven assists. The Trabzonspor academy graduate is under contract until June 2022.
