Abdulkadir Omur came up through the ranks of Turkish club Trabzonspor’s youth system before being promoted to their first team in 2016.
According to Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb, scouts from Liverpool were in the attendance to watch the 19-year-old in action last month.
It is claimed the Merseyside club would like to bet on the teenager as they are trying to see if there is any possibility of them landing the midfielder in the summer.
The report further explains that Napoli could provide competition as Carlo Ancelotti’s side are constantly gathering information in order to bring the Turkey U21 international to their club after the end of this campaign.
Omur has been deployed in various positions this season, including in all three attacking positions. TMW has likened his playing style to Philippe Coutinho, who left the Reds for Barcelona last January.
In September 2017, Omur signed an extension with his current employer, which will run down in 2022.
He has scored two goals and registered four assists in 21 league appearances this term.
