Liverpool have reportedly made contact for the signing of Brazilian youngster Evanilson.
It’s website Netflu who brings the news, saying the Reds have been in talks with the player’s staff regarding the possibility of a transfer.
Liverpool are said to be ‘monitoring’ the 20-year-old, who’s recently been promoted to Fluminense’s first team. But no contacts have been made with the Brazilian club.
The most important thing is that Evanilson’s contract with Fluminense expires in February 2020. So it’s very possible that he could move on a free transfer.
Netflu claims the player doesn’t feel as ‘valued’ as he wished, since Fluminense didn’t contact him for a renewal last season, and now that the club want to keep him he realises he holds all the power and his future in his own hands.
The 20-year-old has only one appearance for Fluminense’s first team, and since the Brazilian season ends next Sunday, there shouldn’t be a lot to be seen from him in the first team.
Evanilson isn’t really known as one of the best talents coming through in Brazil, so Liverpool interest would be very fortunate.
