Following a few reports about Liverpool’s interest in Lecce fullback Patrick Dorgu, we now get to see the Italian media bringing an update on that pursuit.

It’s Calcio Mercato who feature a story claiming the 18-year-old has been drawing big interest from European sides, and the Serie A club are getting prepared for a transfer scenario.

The article claims ‘top clubs’ are starting to move for the signing, and Liverpool ‘received information’ on him.

The Reds should face some Spanish competition, though, as Atletico Madrid scouts have been travelling to watch the player in action for Italy’s U-21 squad.

As Lecce watch the situation, they reportedly set a valuation of over €20m for his sale. Their idea is to make all that money with his departure next summer, but a January move isn’t ruled out.

The Serie A side only spent little to get him signed from Nordsjaelland, and are ready to take a huge profit.

With Liverpool and Atletico Madrid having Dorgu ‘in their sights’, we shall see who’ll move first to get the signing done.
