The fact Kylian Mbappé still hasn’t renewed his Paris Saint-Germain contract despite it expiring in June 2022 is a real concern for the French club.

Talks started over a year ago, but the France international has yet to agree to the terms on offer, seemingly waiting to see what happens with both his club and those interested in him.

Liverpool have been named multiple times as one of those keen on his services should he decide to leave the French capital, and it was even claimed the Reds wouldn’t be against putting up the €200m desired by the Ligue 1 champions in such a scenario.

That remains to be seen, but following an article in L’Equipe explaining Mbappé was taking his time, Cadena SER appear to have received information of their own.

They state Paris Saint-Germain have ‘put three contracts on top of the table’ for the striker to consider, and he’s turned them all down.

The Spanish radio state then go as far as saying he ‘doesn’t want to renew’ and ‘this is going to take a long time’, meaning we aren’t going to get an answer any time soon regarding his future, at least before the end of the current season.

Perhaps Mbappé is waiting for a signal from interested clubs, but for now, the door is opening ever so wider for the likes of Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp, who has reportedly been in touch with the 22-year-old in the past.
