Liverpool are reportedly interested in making some serious investment in the Italian transfer market next summer.

According to claims from Tutto Mercato Web, the Reds would be ready to spend €60m on two Serie A midfielders.

One of them is Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic, who has been much linked to Premier League clubs in the past year, especially Chelsea. Jurgen Klopp would be keen on bringing him to Anfield by paying €35m for the transfer.

The other one is Roma’s central midfielder Leandro Paredes. The 22-year-old would be a Liverpool cheaper, at least in Liverpool’s opinion. The club would be offering €25m.

But Tutto Mercato Web don’t seem to know if the Italian sides would accept these offers or how much they would demand for the players.

From the stories we’ve been covering in the past few months, we’d say both of these bids are still a bit short to convince the Serie A clubs to sell their stars. Maybe a few million more would be enough for Liverpool.
