Liverpool are interested in the Roma forward Mohamed Salah, according to reports from the Italian media today.
Calcio Mercato claims that years after monitoring the player, the Reds are finally ready to make an offer to his entourage.
But Roma are determined to keep Salah. It’s said that the club’s new sporting director Monchi is aware of Salah’s qualities and doesn’t want to let him go.
That’s why the Italian side will be demanding at least €50m, no matter if it’s Liverpool or any other club interested. Roma will still discuss the transfer plans for the summer, but for now, that’s the decision. Salah won’t leave unless someone shows up willing to pay a very big fee for him.
In 39 appearances this season, Salah has scored 17 goals and made 12 assists. After permanently leaving Chelsea for Roma for only €15m last summer, it’s been an excellent deal for the Italian side.
Liverpool have been linked with Salah previously, and perhaps these claims are just a hangover from that.
