Fanatik report that after seeing their €18m offer rejected for Domagoj Vida, Liverpool are now ready to offer €20m to sign the Besiktas centre back.
Vida once again impressed during Croatia’s 2-1 win against England on Wednesday night, and the 29 year old is now set to play in the World Cup final against France on Sunday. His performances at this tournament will have done a lot for his transfer value, but probably not as much as the Turkish media believe.
Fanatik say Liverpool officials are now looking to complete a deal for around €20m, and it seems Vida’s performances have convinced Anfiled boss Jurgen Klopp.
The Turkish newspaper report Besiktas aren’t in a rush to sell Vida and they are ready to wait for other offers for the central defender.
Earlier this week it was reported Besiktas could demand around €35m for Vida, but it’s very unlikely any club would pay such a transfer fee.
Vida still has four years left on his current contract after joining from Dynamo Kiev on a free transfer just seven months ago.
