The Catalan media now mention Luis Díaz on an almost daily basis as Barcelona consider signing the Liverpool player in the upcoming summer window.
Tuesday’s edition of Sport has another big article on Barcelona’s need for a player in his position, and it is Luis Díaz who is pinpointed as the major target.
AC Milan’s Rafael Leao has also been of interest, however, it’s believed the Serie A club would be looking for around €100m to part ways with their player and it’s noted he’s sometimes fallen out with coaches.
Whilst Rafael Leao is seen as a good option, the Liverpool player is described as someone who would be an ‘excellent’ addition.
There’s again the belief that the player himself is keen to wear the Barcelona shirt, and that Liverpool don’t currently consider Luis Díaz as someone they simply cannot sell.
According to the Catalan newspaper, the 28-year-old is ‘very, very well placed’ for a transfer to Barcelona this summer, and it’s explained it’s now just a case of finding the formula of a deal.
That is, of course, easier said than done and there’s no indication of what Liverpool would be asking for or what Barcelona would be able to pay.
And it’s when those two realities meet that this potential transfer will hit its biggest hurdles.
