Since Andrew Robertson left Hull City for Liverpool in 2017, he’s been the first choice left-back at Anfield and has been consistent for the Reds.

His impressive displays have forced Alberto Moreno to settle for a place on the bench and his appearances have been restricted this season.

The Spaniard’s contract with the Premier League outfit will run out at the end of the season and Friday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo claims he has already turned down the opportunity to sign an extension.

Earlier in the season, the 26-year-old emerged as a target for Barcelona, largely because he’s available on a free transfer in the summer. This, coupled with his age has seen him being considered as a ‘great market opportunity’ by the La Liga winners.

The Catalan newspaper cites RAC1 and explains that Moreno has been ‘offered’ to Barcelona, even though there have been talks about the possibility of a return to Sevilla.

He is one of the options for Ernesto Valverde’s side as they look to bring in a back up for Jordi Alba.

Mundo also report that Atletico Madrid and Arsenal are also monitoring Moreno.

There is no clarity as to where Moreno will play next season, but it is clear the defender will leave Jurgen Klopp’s side in the summer.
