Simon Mignolet spent his 30th birthday watching Liverpool play out a goalless draw with Porto on Tuesday evening.
Jurgen Klopp has made it very clear he sees Loris Karius as the better goalkeeper, and a transfer has been repeatedly talked up in the Belgian media.
DH report today that Mignolet is targeting a ‘big transfer’ during the summer window, and is looking to escape his place on the Anfield bench.
The goalkeeper has recently changed agents, moving from Guy Vandersmissen to Didier Frenay who is part of the Star Factory group. DH present this as Mignolet already preparing for the summer window and a Liverpool exit.
According to the Belgian source there’s interest from another Premier League club, although that side is unnamed at this point.
Napoli and Borussia Dortmund are also mentioned as possible destinations for the stopper, but DH point out there’s not so many clubs who are both looking for a goalkeeper and would be able and prepared to pay what Mignolet would cost in fee and wages.
