Liverpool were on the list of clubs who attended the big match between Benfica and Porto at the weekend, report O Jogo. The game ended with a 1-1 draw as the Lisbon side kept themselves a single point advantage in the title race.
Liverpool have been linked this season mainly to two players who were on the pitch, both from Porto: Danilo and Yacine Brahimi.
The duo had good games. Danilo was responsible for Porto’s improvement in midfield in the second half, and Brahimi was the constant threat to Benfica’s defence.
Porto’s Iker Casillas was the Man of the Match for holding back Benfica. On the Eagles side, Ederson, Pizzi and Jonas were all praised by the local media.
Scouts from Arsenal, Brighton, Chelsea, Koln, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Lorient, Genoa, Juventus, Leicester City, Manchester United, Marseille, PSG, Valencia and West Brom all attended to the game as well.
Liverpool’s links with Danilo were strong not so long ago, and it seems Jurgen Klopp is keeping an eye on the midfielder’s season with Porto.
