Liverpool have reportedly made an offer for the Atletico Madrid left-back Theo Hernández.
According to ‘El Larguero’, a show from Cadena SER, the Reds have shown they can pay the player five times what he currently earns in Spain.
Hernández is on loan at Alavés, where he’s been been playing so well that he’s attracted the attention of Real Madrid. Liverpool are seen by Cadena SER as serious competition to Real Madrid, and the offer is considered to be pretty good.
Regarding the player’s price, there’s not much to talk about. He has a release clause of only €24m, and with such big clubs running for him, he’s only leaving Atlético Madrid for that amount.
Cadena SER also claim Jurgen Klopp sees Hernandez as the perfect player for the left-back position, since he’s having to adapt James Milner due to the little trust he has in Alberto Moreno.
Atletico would surely rather the player went to Liverpool than to their Madrid rivals.
