Liverpool have done well to sell a few players this summer, but the likes of Mario, Balotelli, Christian Benteke, Lazar Markovic, and Lucas Leiva could also leave Anfield in the coming days.
Italian striker Mario Balotelli is likely on top of the list. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made it quite clear that he should leave the club this summer, but it won’t be easy to find a club for the controversial striker.
The 25-year-old has been linked to a few clubs, but nothing has materialised up to now. Eredivisie giants Ajax are reportedly keen on signing Balotelli, and it remains to be seen if they make Liverpool an offer.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, Serie A clubs Pescara and Chievo are interested in signing Balotelli. However, Di Marzio claims Ajax remain the favourites to sign Balotelli.
There is no mention of any offers yet, and this is likely to drag on until the end of the transfer window. Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola, has been quite busy with the Paul Pogba saga.
With that set to end this week, he’ll have more time to find Balotelli a new club.
