On Sunday, Barcelona put out an official statement denying they’d reached an agreement with Adrien Rabiot or spoken directly with the player or any others at PSG.

They did, however, confirm their interest in the midfielder and reveal the French club had been made aware of this.

With no agreement in place it leaves opportunity for other clubs, and on Monday L’Equipe once again pulls Liverpool into the equation.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been linked several times in France and the newspaper say there’s been ‘several meetings’ held over Rabiot potentially moving to Anfield.

It’s not clear whether these meetings have been with the player’s camp or PSG directly, but previous claims have suggested it’s the former.

L’Equipe are also unclear whether Liverpool would be looking at a January transfer or waiting until the summer to sign Rabiot as a free agent.

PSG themselves are said to be putting the feelers out to try and get offers in during the winter market.
