Never quite making it at Barcelona up until 2014 considering the amount of talent available up front, Cristian Tello made the decision to try his hand at forging a career elsewhere by getting some loan moves.

Sent to Porto for a year and a half before spending the second half of last season at Fiorentina, the 24-year-old still looks unlikely to continue his career at Barcelona.

Sport on Monday say the player doesn’t particularly want to return to his home club, wanting to continue in Italy with La Viola, even though no agreement is currently in place for this to happen.

While all parties are happy for a move to happen, Barcelona’s demands of €8m for the player are beyond what Fiorentina are prepared to pay, meaning the deal has come to a halt for the time being.

If that doesn’t happen, then options won’t be an issue for Tello as Sport report a few Premier League clubs are queuing up for his services, including Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

The Catalan newspaper claims the German manager believes in the player’s ability to be a hit in the Premier League and that if no agreement is reached between Fiorentina and Barcelona, Merseyside could end up being his next destination.

At the end of the day, for £6.8m (€8m), there’s very little risk involved.
