Sporting defender Ousmane Diomande is getting linked to a few clubs today, as, coincidentally, a couple of Portuguese newspapers have stories about his future.
As O Jogo writes about the 20-year-old, we get to see Liverpool and Newcastle named as two of the contenders for his signing.
The reason for this story is a potential interest from Juventus, which was reported by Italian outlet Tuttosport earlier this week.
What O Jogo does is make it clear that the Bianconeri are not alone in the chase for Diomande, adding that other clubs, such as Liverpool and Newcastle, could also fight for him this summer.
A disadvantage Juventus could have is that they’re planning to include Brazilian striker Kaio Jorge in the deal, and Sporting are not interested in that possibility.
The Lions stopped Diomande from leaving in January by using his €80m release clause as a reference, and it’s up to Liverpool and Newcastle to find out how much cash they want for the sale this summer.
