Omar Marmoush is unlikely to leave Eintracht Frankfurt in the January transfer window, despite already talking to Liverpool.

That’s according to Sky Sport Germany, who report that while Marmoush and Liverpool are ‘in talks’, a move in January is unlikely.

Liverpool have been increasingly linked to Marmoush over the last few months as he’s shone at the start of the season with nine goals and four assists.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg covered that growing interest yesterday, insisting the forward would immediately say yes to any proposal from Liverpool if it were to arrive.

Sky add more to that today, stating that Liverpool are talking to the player and the first discussions between the two parties have already taken place.

If they wish to get really serious and bring Marmoush to the Premier League, it will cost them €50-60m. A move in the January transfer window ‘seems unlikely’ at this point, though.

Marmoush currently has a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt until 2027 and the SGE would like to extend it. The 25-year-old is hesitant about signing a new contract.

That may be thanks to the growing interest from Liverpool, who have already spoken to him and have a clear price point to work from also.
