This is it, folks. It’s that time we’ve all been waiting for. Juventus are going to make an offer for Emre Can.

At least, that’s what Gazzetta dello Sport would have you believe on Thursday, as they claim the Serie A champions are ‘ready’ to submit their bid for the Liverpool midfielder.

After nearly a month of ‘readying’ said offer, Juventus have been waiting for the right moment to pounce, and the Italian newspaper state this is it.

Why? Because Emre Can has ‘ostentatiously’ refused the latest renewal offer presented to him by Jürgen Klopp and co., reiterating his desire to leave Anfield this summer.

This, of course, isn’t the news Liverpool fans want to hear right now, with their club currently under siege by Barcelona, as the La Liga runners-up attempt to save Coutinho from his Merseyside captors.

The Anfield defences are currently holding, but if discord starts to set in within the walls themselves…

The last thing Liverpool will want to do is see both Coutinho and Emre Can leave in the same window, if at all, and that’s why the Reds are trying to make it as difficult as possible, asking for a minimum of €30m for the German, as reported by Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday.

With Juventus only wanting to spend €25m, the FSG fortress remains impregnable.

For now.
