Juventus are ‘in the front row’ for Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic but face competition from Liverpool and Manchester City for his signature.

That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, citing Tuttosport, who say that the Premier League duo are ready to invest in the rising Serbian star.

Vlahovic is one of the rising stars in Europe after establishing himself as the star at Fiorentina over the last year or so.

All of the big clubs in Europe are keeping a close eye on him, particularly Juventus, who still need to fill the hole left in their forward line by Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.

They are in the front row for his signature, say Tuttosport, but Liverpool and Manchester City are ‘ready’ to make their move as well.

According to their information, the striker could leave in the summer or in January, although the former is more likely despite his contract situation.

Juve have dragged themselves to the front of the queue, but there is an ‘English temptation’ with Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola both ‘willing to invest significant sums’ to tempt the striker.

Juventus, for their part, need to decide whether to buy Alvaro Morata or not, but if they decide not to, they will have €35m to bet on Vlahovic and beat the English competition to him.

It’s stated that is ‘English permitting’, though, meaning there is very much a sense that should either Liverpool or Manchester City come calling, they could get their man.

Of the two, it’s more likely City would, given their need for a striker and the fact they’ll have the money ready to go, although the Reds shouldn’t be ruled out because of that.

There’s a growing sense they need another forward, and Vlahovic would fit into their model of signing players to develop into stars themselves.

€35m is not an insurmountable figure for them either; indeed they might consider it the kind of bargain they can’t resist.
