Mario Balotelli left Liverpool for Nice after scoring exactly one goal for the club.
The controversial striker arrived at Anfield in a €20m move from AC Milan in 2014, but lack of interest in the player forced Liverpool to let him leave on a free transfer.
Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola has been speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport on his client’s transfer to Nice, and has some harsh words for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
Asked if Liverpool hindered the deal for Balotelli, Raiola said: “In the end those in charge at Liverpool admitted Jurgen Klopp wasn’t correct. I don’t judge him as a coach, although for me he isn’t a great coach, but it seems he hasn’t realised that we were talking about a person.
“Mario has been exemplary, has ever complained, training alone. To say Klopp was wrong is an understatement: He was a piece of sh*t.”
Raiola also told Gazzetta he expects Balotelli to score 20 goals this season, despite finding the back of net just 7 times in the last two years in all competitions.
