Transferred to Chicago Fire in January of this year for around £1.5m, Jhon Durán has caught the eye with his performances in the MLS.
In fact, Liverpool are among those keeping an eye on the 18-year-old, who has found the back of the net eight times and picked up another five assists in 26 league games to date.
That’s according to journalist Pipe Sierra, who took to Twitter to reveal the very same scout who was in charge of keeping tabs on Luis Diaz ‘has gone to see Jhon Jáder Durán’.
Not only that, but Liverpool ‘already know the conditions’ of a potential transfer, which is that Chicago Fire ‘would let the Colombian go’ if faced with a €10m offer.

That’s not exactly a lot of money for a team like the Reds, meaning that if they really wanted the 18-year-old, they shouldn’t have too many issues striking a deal.
However, they do face competition, as Sierra explains the likes of Lille, Eintracht Frankfurt and PSV Eindhoven are all also interested.
With those clubs being better stepping stones in a player’s young career than a direct move to Liverpool, it could be Durán finds those options more appealing at this point in his career.
Either that or he backs himself to break through at Anfield quickly by choosing to move directly to Merseyside.
