Nearly eight years ago, when Liverpool sold Luis Alberto to Lazio, they apparently still had some faith on the player’s future.
That’s why they made sure to keep 25% of a future transfer, despite agreeing a small €4m fee with the Italian side.
Luis Alberto recently announced he’s about to leave Lazio, and now LaLazioSiamoNoi shares an interesting story on what could happen to him.
The outlet claims that the Serie A are demanding ‘at least’ €15m for his sale, knowing that a quarter of it is going to Liverpool.
The player’s agency claim that no offers arrived so far, although some reports have been claiming that Qatari clubs are willing to put €5m on the table.
Lazio wouldn’t be keen on that amount, and would rather wait to see if someone matches that price, especially because €15m had been offered a year ago by Al-Duhail.
Liverpool will certainly be watching that situation, knowing that they can make around €3.75m with the transfer of a player who left them almost a decade ago, for nearly the same income.
