Liverpool and Sevilla are reportedly the two latest clubs to show their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio.

As claimed by Diario Madridista, the two are now part of the list of many sides who constantly ask the Spanish club about the player’s transfer conditions. But Real Madrid’s response isn’t positive for Liverpool. According to the website, Asensio is not for sale and that’s not a situation set to change.

Of the two clubs, it’s explained there’s only hope for Sevilla. That’s because Jorge Sampaoli’s side would also be keen on a loan deal, and since Asensio hasn’t been used much by Zinedine Zidane, there’s a possibility of that being more attractive.

But for Liverpool the doors are apparently slammed shut. Diário Madridista claims although Jurgen Klopp is very good at taking the best from young talents, he won’t be signing this one.

Asensio is very highly rated at Real Madrid, with good reason, and is expected to play a growing part over the next few years.
