Liverpool are the ‘main favourite’ to sign Nabil Fekir from Real Betis this summer, with Manchester United also having joined the race for his signature.
That’s according to Fichajes.net, who report that the French player has several suitors after another excellent season in Seville.
With six assists and three goals in 25 games to his name this season, Fekir has been one of the better players in Betis’ squad, and that has earned him attention from the Premier League once again.
Reports in England this week indicated Liverpool were back on the scene for the Frenchman, who was extremely close to a move three years ago before it was cancelled at the last minute.
It was stated that the Reds see the Frenchman, whom they believe is available for €25m, as an ideal addition to their forward line this summer.
Fichajes pick up on that today and state the Reds are the ‘main favourite’ for his signature after ‘trying without success’ to get him last year.
It’s claimed that other suitors are ‘waiting’ for their chance to convince Fekir that the best thing for his career in the short-term is to leave the Benito Villamarín and ‘try his luck’ in another big European League.
On that front, the Premier League is his ‘most likely destination’ with Liverpool and Manchester United both vying to bring him to England.
It is the Reds, though, who have the upper hand at this moment in time.
Betis have not received ‘any firm offer’ as of yet and are clear that they don’t want to let one of their biggest stars go, meaning anyone wanting him will need to put a ‘good sum’ on the table.
