Liverpool loanee Allan doesn’t seem very eager to return to Anfield.
Loaned to Fluminense in January, the player only has a six-month contract at the Brazilian side, but wishes he could have more time to prove himself.
Allan has given a press conference this week, and says he hopes Liverpool and Fluminense can sort a deal so he can stay in Rio de Janeiro for longer.
“For me, I would stay here for two or three years,” said Allan (via Globo Esporte). “But it does not depend on me alone. I want to stay and show my football. I hope there’s an agreement with Fluminense to stay a little longer. I like the club, the city and I want to stay here.”
Allan joined Fluminense in mid February, and is still trying to prove himself at the club. He has nine appearances so far, but only two of them as a starter.
With midfielder Bruno Silva suspended for the next game, Allan has a chance to show his potential in the Brazilian Cup match against Santa Cruz this Wednesday.
Signed by Liverpool in 2015, the midfielder has had loan spells at SJK Seinäjoki, VV St.Truiden, Hertha Berlin, Apollon Limassol and Eintracht Frankfurt.
He’s never had a chance to make his debut for the Reds, though.
