Turkish website Fotospor claims Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is attracting interest from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.

It’s reported Werder Bremen’s current goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka is a transfer target for Liverpool, but the German club want Loris Karius in addition to a transfer fee.

Pavlenka has been one of the best keepers in the Bundesliga in the past two seasons following his move form Slavia Prague.

Fotospor claims Besiktas’ board are following transfer talks between the two clubs and they are hoping they can offload Karius before the start of next season.

The German goalkeeper regained his form during the second half of last season after he put in some impressive performances. However, Besiktas are still looking to part ways with the Liverpool player due to his high wages and could possibly replace him with Fulham’s Fabri.

This would appear to be wishful thinking from Turkey. It’s got to be considered seriously unlikely that Pavlenka would agree to be Alisson’s back-up.
