Wanting to leave for a team playing in the Champions League for quite some time now, Moussa Sissoko’s chances to change teams have never been higher than they are now, but it might not be for a team playing in the European elite.

Bought from Toulouse in 2013, the 26-year-old has, overall, been one of Newcastle’s better player over the years, even if he was unable to stop them from getting relegated to the Championship last season.

Not exactly wanting to partake in his current club’s attempt at regaining promotion, the player’s versatility and energy has attracted the attention of a couple of clubs.

L’Equipe on Thursday report what that Hamburg in Germany have made a €12m bid for the France international, which has been rejected by Newcastle.

The French newspaper make it clear the player will leave the northern club this summer, it’s just now a matter of when, and Liverpool are keeping an eye on the situation.

If L’Equipe are to be believed, Jürgen Klopp seems to be a fan of the Newcastle star, and could make a move for him over the summer.

To get him, however, they’ll have to bid more than €12m, which shouldn’t be too much of an issue, to be fair.
