Liverpool’s interest in Inter Milan’s Geoffrey Kondogbia has been widely reported in the Italian media. The French midfielder is struggling to find regular playing time under Frank de Boer at Inter Milan, and that has led to rumours of him moving elsewhere in the near future.
According to a latest report on Calciomercato.it, Klopp wants to bring Kondogbia to Liverpool in January. However, everything is dependent on how much Liverpool will offer for the 23-year-old.
Calciomercato say Inter are hoping to recover the money they spent on him last summer, which is around €30m. That may well be wishful thinking, given Kondogbia has so far been a failure at Inter, for whatever reason.
At the moment, Liverpool have enough midfielders for the current campaign, and a move for Kondogbia in January won’t make sense unless Jurgen Klopp is already planning for the future.
Inter may well be keen on a sale, but Liverpool’s interest doesn’t seem to add up.
