Karim Adeyemi has excelled for Red Bull Salzburg this season, managing 11 goals and two assists in all competitions.

The striker’s fine displays have not only helped him make debut for Germany, but they’ve also seen him catch the attention of several clubs, including Liverpool.

Two days ago, Sky Deutschland reported the Reds have joined Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund in the transfer chase. It was also stated the Merseyside club ‘recently asked again’ about the exciting young talent.

Having already made contact, Liverpool’s interest in the Germany international is further backed up by Sport1.

It’s said Adeyemi will fit well into Jürgen Klopp’s system at Anfield, but there are concerns over him enjoying regular minutes with the English club, unless ‘something fundamentally changes’ in the attacking division.

Liverpool have Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota as the four players currently occupying the front three spots. If one of them were to leave, then the Reds could look at replacing them with Adeyemi.

Although the player has contract until 2024, he will carefully take a decision on his future in the winter. Red Bull Salzburg are ready to let him leave, if they receive an offer around €30-35m.

Bild also mention Liverpool’s interest, but state Bayern are currently favourites to secure Adeyemi’s signature.
