It’s that time of year when the German sport media begin to link a host of Bundesliga players with Premier League clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
The claims are often big and hyped and then rely on little detail to push the story. That appears to be the case with Mohamed Amoura and Liverpool claims in this week’s edition of SportBild magazine.
According to a transfer article, Liverpool are in contract with Amoura’s camp.
The 24-year-old is on loan at VfL Wolfsburg from Union SG, and the German club are set to pay €14.5m, plus a potential further €2m in bonuses, to make the move permanent in the summer.
SportBild report Arsenal have been following him too, but it’s Liverpool which the article concentrates on, although there’s nothing more to report than the contacts with Amoura’s agents being in place.
A versatile attacker, who usually plays as a striker or left-winger, Amoura has played 28 matches so far this season, scoring eight goals and adding eight assists along the way.
