Liverpool are among the clubs chasing PSV Eindhoven star Johan Bakayoko.

Operating on the right wing, he’s managed six goals and 13 assists from 33 games this season and that’s helped him draw attention from top European clubs, including the Reds.

That’s at least what Voetbalkrant are reporting and they add that Liverpool have shown ‘concrete interest’ in the 20-year-old.

Apart from Jürgen Klopp’s side, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also credited with interest in the Belgium international.

His deal lasts until 2026 and the Eredivisie side were able to avoid losing him in the last two windows. The report states that may not be the case in the summer.

Liverpool and other interested parties have received encouragement after PSV technical director Earnest Stewart admitted this is the attacker’s final season at the Dutch club.

Stewart was a guest on NOS’ Studio Voetbal, and when asked whether the player will be still at the club next season, he said: “No, I don’t think so.”

“What Johan is doing at his age is fantastic. He has played 30 top matches before the winter break, including international matches with Belgium.”

Voetbalkrant relay Stewart’s comments and add that Bakayoko is currently valued at €40m but the fee needed to sign him will be a ‘lot higher’ than that.
