Liverpool have received ‘very good reports’ on Las Palmas youngster Alberto Moleiro but will have to move quickly if they want to sign the highly rated midfielder.

That’s according to AS, who put the Reds on the list of clubs eyeing up the 19-year-old starlet.

They explain that Moleiro is ‘one of the greatest talents’ in Spanish football and his performances have not gone unnoticed, with Barcelona and Real Madrid already eyeing moves.

The former were even close to doing a deal in the summer with them and Las Palmas acknowledging the bid and how close they were to do a deal.

They’re not the only sides interested, though, with Borussia Dortmund also keen and sending a scout at the end of October to watch him.

The fourth team ‘in contention’ for his signature is Liverpool, who have ‘very good reports’ on the player and he is ‘liked’ by Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds are very much ‘interested’ in a deal, particularly with them keen to reinvent their midfield, but they will need to spend big to secure his signature.

Las Palmas valued the player at €10m fixed and €15m in variables in the summer but are now likely to look for his €30m release clause to be met.

That clause, however, is set to rise to €60m if they are promoted to La Liga, which is very much a possibility this season.

Thus, any interested parties, including Liverpool, would do well to move in January and potentially save themselves a significant amount.

Whether those in charge at Anfield are willing to do so remains to be seen but they are very much in the picture and keen on the youngster according to AS.
