Friday’s edition of L’Equipe looks at upcoming UEFA disciplinary action against PSG and how it will impact upon the club’s home game against Liverpool.
The Ligue 1 champions face a crucial Champions League match against Liverpool, at the Pace des princes, on November 28th.
It’s likely the match will have some impact on either qualification from the group or who finishes at the top and therefore expects an easier match in the next round.
PSG face action because of incidents which happened around the match against Red Star, supporters of the French club are said to have caused ‘serious disturbances’ on the night of the 6-1 victory.
UEFA have decided to take action but haven’t yet reached a decision on what type of action that will be. An official has been sent to monitor PSG in their upcoming Champions League matches.
L’Equipe say a decision will be made by November 22nd, and it’s not know whether it will be a suspended sentence, a partial stadium closure, or a full stadium shutdown which would ‘would force them to host Liverpool in front of empty stands’.
