Liverpool are ‘closely following’ the development of young striker Andy Elysée Logbo, who is set to be available on a free transfer.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report on the youngster today and the Reds’ interest in his signature.
They explain that the striker is currently part of Le Havre’s youth set up, which is considered one of the best training centres in France.
Logbo is the ‘latest jewel’ in that system and has started to ‘attract attention’ for his performances.
The 17-year-old is currently playing for the U19s and recently ‘distinguished himself’ in the Normandy minnows’ 1-0 win over PSG in the Gambardella Cup.
His eight goals and four assists in 13 games since the start of this season ‘speaks volumes’ about his talent, and man are already labelling him the next Romelu Lukaku thanks to his ‘imposing physique’ and his love of duel with defences.
He is ‘already the object of many desires’ thanks to these performances, ad the fact his contract is set to expire in the summer.
According to FM’s information, Liverpool are one of several sides ‘inquiring with his entourage’ about his future.
They have an advantage over the competition after Logbo ‘visited’ their facilities at the age of 15, and they are ‘still closely following his development’ to this date.
Whether Liverpool are ready to make a move to beat the competition isn’t made clear, and FM do state the player will be ‘spoilt for choice’, so there is certainly competitors for his signature.
But the Anfield side are interested, and Logbo is a name to keep an eye on moving forwards as the Reds continue to plan for the future.
