Liverpool are back on being linked to Porto midfielder Vitinha, this time in a story from Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.
The outlet today features a piece on the player’s evolution for the Dragons, claiming that following the growth in his game, it’s time for him to have bigger impact with assists and goals.
Speaking of the development he’s been having this season, O Jogo lists a few clubs who’ve been interested in Vitinha, and that’s where the Reds come in.
Liverpool are named as one of the clubs who have been following the player ‘with a lot of attention’, along with the likes of Bayern Munich and Lazio.
Vitinha had last season an unimpressive loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he was not able to convince the Molineux side of triggering the buying option they had for him.
However, the time in the Premier League had a big impact in his development, as the current season at Porto brought him to another level, and it’s no wonder he’s now linked to a move back to England.
Vitinha is protected by a release clause worth €40m, although Liverpool could be able to negotiate for a smaller fee in case they do come for him this summer.
