On Tuesday, we covered multiple claims from Germany and Spain that explained Liverpool have taken the lead to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham next summer.

It was also stated Jürgen Klopp, along with a few Liverpool players, are pushing to bring the midfielder to the Merseyside club.

Apart from the Reds, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the 19-year-old.

Bild journalist Christian Falk took to Twitter to explain Liverpool are ‘favourites’ in the race to secure the England international’s services next summer. In addition to this, he said negotiations with Reds are ‘more advanced’ than Real Madrid.

Falk further adds the teenager’s family prefers that he joins Klopp’s side. The journalist doesn’t mention the fee, but recent claims indicate it is expected to be in excess of €100m.

This information from Falk shouldn’t come as a surprise considering that Liverpool already started the ground work to bring the player to Anfield earlier this year.

Back in August, Sport1 reported the Reds had repeatedly approached Bellingham’s father, Mark, and his agent, Mark Bennett.
