Following Tuesday’s rumours about Chelsea’s pursuit for Newcastle United star Bruno Guimarães, it seems it’s now Liverpool who have joined the race for the signing.

The information comes from TNT Sports, who features an ‘exclusive story’ about the battle to land the 24-year-old.

The Brazilian outlet claims that Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid are all ‘disputing’ the signing ‘for the next season’.

It’s said all three have ‘expressed concrete interest’ in the player.

Those sides, however, are said to be monitoring his contract situation with Newcastle. It’s claimed the Magpies want to increase his salary, and the attempt from those clubs would take place ‘in case he doesn’t sign a new contract’.

TNT claims Real Madrid are an old interested side, as they had already been in touch for the signing when Casemiro left for Manchester United last summer.

Now the chase from Chelsea and Liverpool seems to be something more fresh.

On Tuesday, it was Goal Brasil who reported the Blues’ pursuit for the player, also highlighting the fact that he’s set to soon have an offer for a renewal with Newcastle.

Therefore, it seems the negotiations for a new contract are crucial for a potential transfer situation.
