For the past few weeks, several reports from the Italian media have been talking about Newcastle United’s interest in signing Dean Huijsen from Juventus.

With the youngster impressing this season during his loan at AS Roma, it’s been said the Magpies have been pressing to get him this summer.

It turns out that according to a fresh report from TuttoJuve, Newcastle are actually facing competition from Liverpool for this signing.

The outlet features a story claiming that Juventus have been in touch with Huijsen’s camp to discuss his future, as there are many sides willing to take him from the Old Lady.

Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Newcastle are said to be the ‘strongest clubs’ in the race.

The problem is that Huijsen has ‘never hidden’ his desire to play for Juventus, and there’s a good chance that new manager Thiago Motta will want him in the squad for next season.

That’s why Liverpool, Newcastle or Dortmund would need a ‘monstrous offer’ to make the Bianconeri change their mind. Recent reports from the Italian media claimed it’d take around €30m to get him.
