Doing one better than their senior squad, France’s under-19s managed to win their age group’s European Championships by beating Italy in the final 4-0.

Helped by Jean-Kevin Augustin and Kylian Mbappe, who scored 11 goals between them along the way, another player was a shining light in midfield.

Guingamp’s 18-year-old Ludovic Blas, who scored in the final, caught the eye of many scouts, and a queue has now swiftly formed to try and acquire his services this summer.

According to L’Equipe in France, Lyon are currently the frontrunners to sign the youngster, but Liverpool and Inter Milan are also interested.

The Premier League club are said to have spoken to the player about a possible move, but L’Equipe believe the player prefers a Lyon transfer, as it comes across as the ‘coherent’ option for his career progression.

Lyon are said to have tried to make contact with Guingamp about a possible transfer, but so far they’ve been turned away.

The youngster made 16 appearances for Guingamp last season, most in the second half, scoring one goal and assisting his teammates twice in the process.
