Serie A side Roma are still interested in the signing of Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri, according to Italian website Calcio Mercato.
The outlet says the Giallorossi were already following the player in the January market. Despite having turned to other targets back then, the chase for the Swiss international remains.
Calcio Mercato says that Liverpool would initially demand between €18m and €20m for the 28-year-old, but that could change due to the Coronavirus crisis.
That’s why Roma would have a bigger chance of signing Shaqiri on another kind of deal, like a loan with an obligation to buy.
But Calcio Mercato makes it clear that this is just an initial interest, since no actions have been taken yet, and it should take a few months in case things really move.
What could maybe attract Shaqiri to Roma is the promise of having more playing time, since he only had 174 minutes in the Premier League this season so far.
