Liverpool and Chelsea are being dragged into the race to sign Jadon Sancho in the summer window. Both Premier League clubs have been mentioned as options in recent weeks, and Bild now say they’re very much in the picture.
The clubs believe that Sancho has everything needed to make him a ‘superstar of the decade’, with the feeling being he can be one of the world’s top footballers in the coming years.
That presents the opportunity of an investment, with a re-sale in the coming years possible.
Borussia Dortmund refused to sell last summer after their conditions were not met, and Bild now state BVB are ready to give a ‘Corona discount’ given the current shaky finances in world football.
That would be good news for Liverpool, Chelsea and any other clubs interested, and it’s again thought Manchester United could be an option. Still, the new price will be €100m, and BVB will hope Thomas Tuchel, Jurgen Klopp and others get into a tussle which makes that level of transfer fee achievable.
