According to a report in the Netherlands, Liverpool could be set to land a bargain deal for a young forward in the January transfer window.

Reports have been floating around that the Reds are interested in Kyanno Silva, currently at Benfica, whose contract with the Portuguese side expires at the end of the season.

SoccerNews have been asking around about the situation, and explain that Liverpool ‘hope to sign’ the 18-year-old very quickly.

Of interest to the Anfield side, the winger has also caught the attention of ‘other foreign top clubs’, mostly due to the small amount needed to get him in the coming weeks.

According to SoccerNews, Benfica would ‘like to let him go’ to Liverpool easy ‘for a fee of £200k’, because they know that if they don’t strike a deal now, they could see him leave on a free next summer.

One caveat in all this is that the Liga Portugal side may still have a chance of keeping him because extending his current deal is ‘also not yet out of the question’.

Something to keep an eye on as Liverpool continue to scour Europe for talent to help their squad grow for years to come.
