Marcelo Brozovic could leave Inter Milan this summer and Liverpool are one of his potential suitors.

That’s according to FC Inter News, who say the Italian side are weighing up whether to sell the Croatian midfielder to raise funds this summer.

Antonio Conte’s side had been set to make a small fortune with Lautaro Martinez looking likely to join Barcelona.

However, the Spanish side are not ‘sinking’ on that front, and as such, they are looking at the other ‘big names’ in their squad that could ‘make money’ for them.

An important sale such as that is seen as ‘essential’ if they wish to guarantee big-name signings this summer, although the management could still work around this regardless.

Either way, they would not be ‘deaf’ to any offers that do come in, and in that regard, Brozovic has ‘admirers’ in Europe.

One of those are Liverpool, who have been interested in him for some time. Their interest comes courtesy of manager Jürgen Klopp, who has also ‘appreciated’ the player for some time.

They’ve never taken any ‘official steps’ to secure his signature, but the suggestion is that, should he be made available, they may change that.

However, it is stated that they could ‘opt for’ Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara instead having been linked to him for the last few months

This is where things get interesting, as FC Inter News say Bayern could rival Liverpool for Brozovic should they end up selling Thiago to the Premier League champions this summer.

The Bundesliga champions have already been in contact with his entourage to discover what his situation currently is.

Brozovic also has a contract offer on the table from Inter, but it’s made clear that if they were to receive a bid close to his €60m release clause then he ‘would be sold’.

Nothing is certain as yet but what is clear is that the Croatian can make money for Inter this summer and he could end up as part of a classic tussle between Bayern and Liverpool, with Thiago potentially in the middle for added entertainment.
