TivibuSpor reporter Erkut Öztürk claims Fenerbahce have been offered the chance to sign Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri.

Ozturk said the agents have offered Shaqiri to the Turkish side and there could be a possibility for Fener to sign him.

It’s reported the Switzerland international is looking for a yearly wage of around €3m, with a three-year contract. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce have told his entourage that they can only pay €1.5m per season.

Ozturk added the parties involved could reach an agreement in the coming weeks and the transfer talks will continue.

Shaqiri joined Liverpool in 2018, in a move from from Stoke City, and was a useful player for Jurgen Klopp in his debut season. However, this season, he hasn’t been able to replicate the same performances, and he’s missed the majority of matches due to injury and selection.

The 28 year old has made nine appearances for the Premier League champions this season in all competitions, scoring one goal. His contract at Anfield will expire at the end of June 2023.
