Having already been linked to Monaco midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni a couple of times, Liverpool continue being pointed out as one of the suitors for the player this summer.
This time, the story comes from the Spanish media, where Marca writes about the race for the 22-year-old.
The outlet points out that despite the wish from Real Madrid to sign him, there’s actually some heavy competition from England, especially because Tchouaméni is ‘aiming for a Premier League’ transfer.
Liverpool are one of the clubs who are said to have knocked on his door, as the Reds ‘have asked’ about the move and the player ‘wouldn’t see it as a bad option’.
Despite pointing out Monaco are expected to sell Tchouaméni this summer, Marca doesn’t say how much he’d cost, but recent reports claimed he should move for as much as €60m.
Now Liverpool must be aware of the competition, as besides Real Madrid, they have to also beat the likes of Juventus and Manchester United in the battle for the midfielder.
