On February 12th, we covered claims from Germany that Liverpool are in the picture to sign Mohamed Amoura. The Reds aren’t the only English club chasing the VfL Wolfsburg star as Arsenal and Nottingham Forest are also in the mix.
That’s according to L’Equipe, and they cover Liverpool, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest interest in the forward.
Amoura joined the Bundesliga club on loan from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise last summer and has 10 goals and eight assists from 24 league games this season.
His impressive performances have caught the attention of a few clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest, and they have ‘shortlisted’ the Algeria international.
The Premier League trio have made contact, without L’Equipe making it clear if they approached his camp, the German club or both. The English clubs are knocking on his door because of his performances and versatility as he can operate on the wings or up front.
L’Equipe state Wolfsburg, currently ninth in the table, have an option to buy the 24-year-old for €14m plus €4m bonuses and will trigger this if they continue in the Bundesliga. They add the attacker could possibly move to the Premier League in the summer window.
The report claims Wolfsburg would ask around €35-40m for their star if there’s a concrete approach for Amoura.
