It’s hard to keep up with the amount of articles published about Moussa Sissoko’s future since the end of the 2016 Euros, but we’re doing our best to bring you what’s being said all over Europe.
Earlier on Monday, we looked at a report from Tuttosport in Italy about Juventus’ interest in the French midfielder claiming Real Madrid were prepared to slap €35m on the table to get a deal done.
Still short of Newcastle’s valuation of the versatile man, the Real Madrid interest is interesting as Le10 Sport claim two more clubs have made official offers to Sissoko, and neither of them are the La Liga giants.
According to the French website as an exclusive, Dortmund and Liverpool have approached the player directly to tell him what they would be prepared to pay him were he to join them as they look for personal terms agreement early on.
That’s the easy part, though, as we all know the big obstacle is the £35m fee demanded by Rafa Benitez and co. for the 27-year-old; an amount unlikely to be met by Dortmund considering their strong showing on the transfer market already.
Liverpool, on the other hand, aren’t exactly short of cash, and if they are really intent on getting a deal done, they will.
Were this to happen, the Reds will have spent £60m on Newcastle players this summer after Jürgen Klopp signed Georgina Wijnaldum for £25m a few days ago.
